1977 Beginning before the Nativity and extending through the Crucifixion and Resurrection, this mini-series brings to life all of the sweeping drama in the life of Jesus, as told by the Gospels.
Part 1
After Joseph and Mary's betrothal, Mary is visited by the angel Gabriel, who tells her she will bear the Son of God. Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem to take part in Herod's census, where Jesus is born.
Part 2
Jesus meets Mary Magdalene and John the Baptist and continues to perform miracles among his people.
Part 3
Mary Magdalene washes Jesus' feet, Simon is named Peter, the sermon on the mount and the Lord's prayer are delivered, Lazarus is raised from the dead, Jesus enters Jerusalem and preaches there, he meets Barabbas, a Roman centurion asks that Christ cure his servant, and Christ speaks with Nicodemus.
Part 4
This portion includes the meeting of the Sanhedrin to debate Jesus' teachings, the last supper, the betrayal, and Pontius Pilate's return to Jerusalem, Christ before Pilate, the crucifixion, the resurrection, and Christ's final meeting with the apostles.
